almost. the https protocols are incompatible, but the website itself works fine (i used the old net to get the site over http)

That's crazy! I think I once tried using it in Netscape 9 and Firefox 3 and then even the security kinda works. But the flash player caused troubles sometimes and some things (as I remember) looked misrendered.
