Better unread message tracking

Who thinks that we should remove FluxBB's unread message tracking and program our own?
Currently, once your last visit data is updated, it automatically shows all messages before that last visit as read, whether you read them or not.
It also uses a cookie on your computer, so unread messages go by computer instead of by user.

What do you all think about LS97 and I making our own version? This one would go by user, and it won't automatically wipe all of the unread messages when your last visit data is updated.

The only downside to this is that the forums would be down for a while (anywhere from an hour to several days).
