Got something against Toyota? Got something against 55 miles per gallon?

You hit the nail on the head xP

Toyota has been my least favourite brand ever since I can remember. And I'm not particularly fond of Hybrids.

Hybrids are ironic because they can go on both electric power and petrol power. This means that power from running the petrol engine can be stored in the electric battery to run the car in some times.

However, the petrol engine has to undergo more resistance to charge the battery, and energy is lost as heat. Higher fuel consumption and less efficiency. The batteries can also be charged using kinetic brakes.

But the weight and bulk of the electric motor and the huge batteries equals that advantage as well.

This is why the most efficient car is not hybrid smile

The Prius gets about 55 miles per gallon, while that's not the MOST efficient, it is pretty close.

I'm closing this topic before it causes any more arguments...I really don't want to have to ban someone.

If anyone wants me to re-open it, just submit a report.
