I think I've found a way that this website could implement.
Basically, the project is uploaded to a site that I control that has a rather high PHP upload limit (50MB), then use PHP FTP functions to move it to this server, deleting the copy on the other server.
I was tempted to not tell you about this (it was how I will be allowing large projects to be uploaded to mod play) but I decided I should because we don't have to be too competitive.
It would require some infrastructure change, but I'm sure you'd like the benefits.

I could implement that on our site. I made a script that allowed projects to be uploaded with my mod, so if you give me FTP details, I could definitely do that. And you're right, we should cooperate and not be competitive.
Could you give me more details by email? My email is redacted.
P.S. I have already had a bit of experience with PHP FTP. The original version of the Insanity uploader uploaded the file to one site, and then I used FTP to get it onto Mod Share.

Do you still want to go forward with this, or do you want to just not try at all?
