Try Java,Instead

Well flash doesn't support modded blocks so why don't we do this-Get the source for the Scratch Java Player then Modify it to support the blocks (I think it should support most blocks)(Contact them)

Re: Try Java,Instead

We already have the source code of the Java player. We just found it too difficult to code the blocks due to the weird way they are coded in the player (and partly because the source code we have is not complete tongue).
Not to mention it runs a lot slower.

Re: Try Java,Instead

i wonder if we could get someone to make a program that reads the blockspecs of a block and acts accordingly

the following statement is void where prohibited
this statement is prohibited

Re: Try Java,Instead

That's borderline impossible. For one, AIs like that really take a lot of processing power (and actually need to be coded first), and then sometimes not even humans understand what a blockspec is supposed to mean tongue

Re: Try Java,Instead

not what i meant, scratch has to read its blockspecs to know what to do, if someone could make a program that instead of reading the scratchblocks, read the squeak code, it would work for anything made in squeak....

I have looked for a Squeak web player, but haven't found one.

Re: Try Java,Instead

But then the project saving would become extremely inefficient!
