This is because the users didn't put a thumbnail with the project.

Last I had checked, this was impossible...

Maybe add a default "no thumbnail" picture if users don't use one?

Yeah, I think that's a good idea. I'm currently a bit busy with other coding projects, homework, and whatnot, but I'll get around to it soon.
