What is the image thing and how do I use it if it is a hosting thing?

The image service is a kind of uploading section of the site reserved for images, as stevetheipad rightly said, similar to tinypic or imgpaste.
To minimise spam we want to keep the users as few as possible and we only allow trusted users to use the service.

You have to apply to use the service, and I can already tell you that you need to be more active on the forums to be able to use it.
