Am I being stupid?

When I open a project page, the box where the project should be has a lot of weird characters and boxes, lagging my computer. What is going on, or am I just being stupid?

I've never seen that before. Strange.

(Btw, it shows normally in the Flash player for me).

If they're scared of viruses, Chrome is by Google. I'm pretty sure you can trust Google.

Maybe try updating your flash player?
if you want to try a browser without having to install it, I recommend going to www.portableapps.com. You can just install the portable version to wherever, see if it works, and then make your decision about what to do next
Here are some browsers you could try:
Portable Firefox
Portable Chrome
Portable Iron (Chrome w/o tracking)
Portable Opera
There's loads of other good stuff there that you don't need admin rights to use, and can be easily removed, simply by deleting the folder the application is in

Do you have the same tags or something? Because I think one of the <flash> or whatever tags might not be working in IE.

yep, the only difference i can find in the <object> code is that jvvg set the width of the player on this site to 482, while on scratch it's 483
Then again, this one is using v155, while scratch is using v187
maybe it was a glitch that sometimes happened that the st fixed?

I just closed out of inprivate, and reopened. Still lots of text and no project.

try using the mesh javaplayerm but without putting in a server
Maybe that'll work

regardless, not many projects work in the player anyway
